The Vaporfly 4 is a mile-eating machine that just got lighter. Nike trimmed weight with a carbon-fibre Flyplate and ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole to give you race-day speed without sacrificing performance. The result is a fine-tuned racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.
Full speed
The full-length carbon-fibre Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and is combined with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.
Lighter foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.
Less weight
Engineered mesh on the upper offers improved lightweight comfort while providing a more consistent fit. We reduced the size of the heel and tongue to save even more weight.
Light feel
The midsole bulge at the heel helps reduce weight on the inside of the foot and give you a more stable ride. Nike reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared with the Vaporfly 3.
What’s new about the Vaporfly 4?
Nike made minor tweaks so you can enjoy major gains. Nike trimmed inessential weight in the upper, midsole and outsole without sacrificing performance.
